Erik Hersman
Erik Hersman is co-founder of Gridless, pioneering decentralized energy through bitcoin mining to electrify off-grid communities across Africa. With renewable-powered sites in Kenya, Malawi, and Zambia, Gridless monetizes excess energy to build a sustainable path to rural electrification for 600 million unconnected people.
He also founded Node, a Nairobi campus for AI, energy, and freedom tech, hosting a GPU cluster, solar generation, and a community building sovereign infrastructure. A two-decade builder, he co-founded Ushahidi, iHub, and BRCK.
